Terms of Service
Last updated 25 October 2026
In short
- SellPlaza gives you tools to run your shop. Your sales are between you and your customers.
- You’re responsible for what you sell, your prices, deliveries and refunds, and for treating customers’ details with care.
- Online payments, part of the Plus plan, go through Paystack, which pays your share directly into your bank account.
- SellPlaza has a Free plan and a paid Plus plan, and takes no fee on your sales.
1. These terms
These terms are an agreement between you and {{LEGAL NAME}}, {{BUSINESS ADDRESS}} (“SellPlaza”, “we”, “us”), which operates sellplaza.com.ng. By creating an account or using SellPlaza, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy form part of these terms.
2. What SellPlaza does
SellPlaza helps sellers:
- record sales, stock, expenses and customer debts;
- run a public storefront that takes orders on WhatsApp;
- accept online payments through Paystack, for orders and for money customers owe;
- send reminders.
SellPlaza is in beta: we are still improving it, and features may change.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract.
- Give accurate details, and keep them up to date.
- Keep your password and sign-in methods safe. You are responsible for what happens in your account.
- Each account runs one shop.
- Tell us at {{CONTACT EMAIL}} straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
4. Your shop and your sales
You are the seller. SellPlaza is not a party to any sale between you and your customers, and doesn’t own, check or deliver your products. You are responsible for:
- your products, descriptions, photos and prices, which must be accurate and not misleading;
- delivering what you sell, handling returns and refunds, and customer service;
- following Nigerian law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018, and any licences or taxes that apply to your business.
You must not use SellPlaza to sell or promote:
- illegal goods or services;
- drugs, firearms, ammunition or explosives;
- counterfeit or stolen goods;
- gambling, or investment and “get rich quick” schemes;
- anything else that Paystack’s Acceptable Use Policy prohibits or restricts.
5. Your customers’ details
When you record a customer’s name or phone number, or send them a reminder, you decide what to keep and why. You must:
- have a lawful reason under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, such as an ongoing sale or debt;
- use their details only for your genuine business with them;
- respond to their requests about their data. We will help you do this.
Don’t use SellPlaza’s reminders or links to send spam or harass anyone.
6. Online payments
- Online payments are part of the Plus plan. They are processed by Paystack, and Paystack’s terms also apply to them. Turning on online payments registers your bank account with Paystack, which pays your share of each payment directly into it.
- The account must be in your name or your business’s. Paystack may ask for more information to verify it.
- Paystack’s processing fee is deducted from your share, unless you choose to add it to your customer’s total. Your customer then sees the fee before paying, and you receive the full price. SellPlaza takes no fee on payments.
- You are responsible for refunds you owe your customers (see the Refund Policy). If a payment is refunded, reversed or disputed through Paystack, the amount may be recovered from your share as Paystack’s terms allow.
- We may share information with Paystack to verify accounts and prevent fraud.
7. Plans and fees
- Free costs nothing. Your shop shows up to 20 products, and customers pay you by bank transfer.
- Plus costs ₦2,500 a month or ₦25,000 a year. It adds online payments (see section 6), unlimited products, debt reminders with a pay link, Analysis, your own logo, cover photo and colour, and no SellPlaza badge on your shop.
- Every new shop gets 14 days of Plus free. When the trial ends, the shop moves to Free unless you pay for Plus.
- Monthly Plus is paid by card through Paystack and renews automatically every month until you stop it under Your plan. Yearly Plus is paid once and doesn’t renew by itself; we email you before it ends.
- If you stop monthly renewal, you keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Refunds for Plus are covered in the Refund Policy.
- When Plus ends, your shop moves to Free. Nothing is deleted: products beyond the first 20 stay in your records but aren’t shown on your shop, online payments stop, and Plus features pause until you choose Plus again.
- We may change prices or what each plan includes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a change affects you, and a new price applies from your next payment.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of your content: your shop details, photos, videos, product descriptions and records. You give us permission to store, display and process it as needed to run SellPlaza. This includes showing it on your storefront and in link previews when your links are shared. You confirm you have the right to use everything you upload.
9. Fair use
You must not:
- use SellPlaza for anything illegal or fraudulent;
- try to get into accounts or data that aren’t yours, or interfere with SellPlaza’s security or availability;
- copy SellPlaza’s data in bulk by automated means;
- impersonate anyone.
10. Availability and your data
We work to keep SellPlaza running and back your data up daily. However, SellPlaza is provided “as is”, especially during beta, and we can’t promise it will always be available or error-free. Download copies of your records (CSV) from time to time.
11. Our liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data, arising from your use of SellPlaza;
- our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and ₦50,000.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law.
12. Your responsibility to us
You agree to cover our reasonable losses from claims by others that arise from:
- your products or sales;
- your content;
- your use of customers’ details;
- your breach of these terms.
13. Ending your use
You can stop using SellPlaza at any time, and ask us to delete your account at {{CONTACT EMAIL}}.
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or that puts others at risk. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you first and give you a chance to download your records.
We may also hide your shop from buyers, for example while we look into a report about it. While it is hidden, your shop, product and payment links don’t open, and buyers can’t order or pay through SellPlaza. You can still sign in and keep your records, and we tell you why by email and in the app.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. For important changes, we will tell you by email or in the app at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using SellPlaza after that, you accept the new terms.
15. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If a dispute arises, please contact us first and we will try to resolve it within 30 days. If we can’t, the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction.
16. If you’re shopping in a SellPlaza shop
Each shop is an independent business. When you order, your agreement is with that seller, who is responsible for the products, delivery and refunds.
Online payments are processed by Paystack. Refunds follow our Refund Policy, and our Privacy Policy explains how your details are handled. To report a problem with a shop, use “Report this shop” at the bottom of its page, or email {{CONTACT EMAIL}}.
